Design is a language, one we speak quite fluently.
We believe design is not just about looks and aesthetics, but also about functions and interactions that feel organic and magical.
Cavepiece lamps are uniquely designed to be an intentional home décor piece. Designed with the opinion that lamps should not only be aesthetically pleasing, but also functionally elevate your experience, and the way you interact with your home, while being ethically made. Which is why we focus on a meticulously curated collection, rather than a wide range of products.
In a nutshell, we're not designing lamps, we're crafting lighting experiences.

We spot design cues and hints hidden in plain sight - mostly in nature and everyday objects that we overlook - to bring these truly unique lamps to life. The colorful lamp holders are inspired by Red Bottom shoes, and other color combinations can be found in familiar places.

Design Process

It all begins with an idea, then a sketch.
As soon as an idea pops into mind, the first thing I do is to sketch it out and start refining it. When it looks good enough on paper, I go over to design a 3D model of it. With 3D printing technology, we can safely skip the paper modelling step and go straight to prototyping.
Following countless hours and priceless intellect expended on design, your lamp sits on a 3D printer for 10s of hours, slowly growing layer by layer, sometimes up to thousands of layers.
Then, immaculate tooling and finishing by hand, with accuracy nearing surgical precision.

Cavepiece lamps are designed, manufactured, engineered, and assembled in-house. Not in some advanced mega factory in China with multi-million dollar equipment and hundreds of employees on payroll.

Our Tactile Switch is one way we elevate your lighting experience; an almost magical way to command your lamp. It puts the freedom of control all over your body, and lets you control your lamp with a touch. The difference it offers is comparable to the leap from wired to wireless headphones. Trust me! Once you experience it, there's no going back, because you'll never have to crouch to control a lamp anymore.

Packaging

All packaging materials used are recyclable and reusable. Each lamp is carefully packaged in a branded box with a special message to the courier service company. Also In the box is a personalized Welcome/Thank you card, because what does hand-made mean without a personal touch?
